Chocolate Graphics International, sponsor for Australian world champion triathlete Emma Moffatt, is proud to announce that Moffatt took the gold medal in both the Dextro Energy Triathlon -- ITU World Championship Series held June 21, 2009 in Washington, D.C. and the Hy-Vee ITU Triathlon Elite Cup held June 27, 2009 in Des Moines, Iowa. Moffatt was the only woman at the Dextro event to finish in less than two hours, with a time of 1:59:55. Chocolate Graphics Capital Region franchisees Gwen Cloutier and Catherine Stanish were on hand to witness Moffatt’s win in D.C. “It was sweet to see Emma take the gold,” Cloutier said. “We look forward to seeing her take more gold medals this year! Emma certainly personifies the focus, dedication and integrity that our company embraces.”
With her finish time of 1:59:46 in Des Moines, Moffatt not only took the gold medal, but also triathlon’s biggest cash prize of US$200,000. With these last two strong finishes, Moffatt, a native of Brisbane, Australia, now sits at the top of the Women’s ITU World Championship series rankings. Her next races will take place in Europe, beginning with a race in Kitzbühel, Australia and followed by races in Hamburg, Germany and London, England. John, Taylor, President and CEO of Chocolate Graphics, will be on hand for Moffatt’s European races.
